On 16 March 2018, Prof. Uzelac, Prof. van Rhee and Marko Bratković participated in the seminar on civil procedure "Reforms and Developments in Eastern European Procedure Law" which was organized by Faculty of Law, Bergen. During the seminar, Marko Bratković talked about the role of the Supreme Court of Croatia. The program of the conference can be found here. During their visit, Prof. Uzelac and Prof. van Rhee also participated in the meeting of the ELI working group on judges, parties and lawyers.

From 23 February to 7 March 2018, Prof. Uzelac visited several universities and judicial institutions in Brazil: Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Federal University of Paraná, Escola Superior da Magistratura (AJURIS) in Porto Alegre, and Federal University of Espírito Santo. During his visit, Prof. Uzelac held several lectures on various topics in the field of civil procedure: socialist legal tradition and its influence on European civil justice systems, current trends and future perspectives of convergence of civil justice systems.

Marko Bratković participated in the 3rd Annual CEENELS (Central and Eastern European Network of Legal Scholars) conference in Riga, Latvia from 11 to 13 January 2018. The topic was “Legal Traditions and Legal Identities in Central and Eastern Europe”. The conference was attended by almost 70 scholars from 12 countries: Belarus, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Prof. Dr. Alan Uzelac and Juraj Brozović participated in 22st Ius Commune Congress organized by Ius Commune Research School. It was organized in Utrecht from 23 to 24 November 2017. The website of the congress can be found here.

Prof. Uzelac and Juraj Brozović participated in three different workshops dealing with contract law, civil procedure and family law. 

Prof. Alan Uzelac, Prof. C.H. van Rhee and  Marko Bratković participated in Conference on Judicial Management from Comparative Perspective. It was organized by Inernational Association of Procedural Law and Tianjin University in Tianjin, China, from 8 to 10 November 2017.

During the conference, Prof. Uzelac presented his report dealing with fact-findiig, legal reasoning and case management.

After visiting Tianjin, Prof. Uzelac also participated in Joint Steering Committee meeting with Co-reporters, Members of the Working Groups, Advisers and Observers for the Creation of European Rules on Civil Procedure.
