PUBLIC AND PRIVATE JUSTICE 2015

From 8 to 12 June 2015, the team members organised an international graduate seminar "Public and Private Justice". It was the tenth seminar so far. The seminar was dedicated to the current civil justice systems' issues - electronification, privatisation and outsourcing of judicial functions. The lecturers envolved are highly qualified experts - university professors and legal professionals from leading European universities and judicial institutions. Leading Croatian experts also participate in the seminar and so are the advanced students of postgraduate studies.

Special topic of this year's seminar was "Private Justice in Service of Public Goals? Outsourcing of Judicial Tasks and Functions – Blessing or Betrayal". The aim of the seminar is to examine how the domestic and comparative law adresses the issue of privatisation and outsourcing of the judicial tasks and all potential pros and cons of such concept. The seminar was closed after its second part - a round table regarding free legal aid and clinical legal education.
